Family Vacation East Coast: My top 3 to-go places I recently visited are Boston, Massachusetts, Adirondacks, New York, and Washington, DC. There are also many beautiful places to travel to, many of which are just a few hours drive away. Here are some fantastic ideas if you want to learn about the top things to do in my top 3 to-go places that I visited recently.
Boston, Massachusetts
Also known as the "Cradle of Liberty," Boston tops my list because it plays a vital role in American History and Revolution. If you are fascinated by History, you love beer and music, and outdoor activities animate you, you will love Boston as much as I do. Who does not love snow? However, I recommend visiting Boston in the late spring or in the summer months. This is when the temperatures are perfect to explore the city and its surroundings, but Boston can still be visited in the Winter. There are also a lot of great winter sports activities that will keep you around.
Top things to do in Boston
If you plan an East Coast vacation for the whole family and the kids, you would love them to learn about our History, keep them occupied, and have lots of fun. To help you, here are the top things you can do in Boston:
1. The New England Aquarium & Zoo
At the New England Aquarium, you will discover thousands of aquatic animals, such as sharks, giant Pacific octopuses, sea turtles, and the well-known African Penguins. At the New England Zoo, specifically at The Franklin Park Zoo and the Stone Zoo, you can admire over 160 species of diverse animals, such as Western Lowland Gorillas, Kangaroos, and African Lions.
2. Puttshack
If you love golf, you will love Puttshack. At Puttshack, you can experience a mini-tech-infused golf course and delicious foods. It is a perfect place for a night out with family and friends and a date if you are planning one.
3. The Boston Museum of Science
If you and your family are fascinated with science and technology, you will all love the Boston Museum of Science. Here, you will find the exhibits of the moon and many more exciting things that will amaze you.
4. The Boston Children's Museum
At the Boston Children's Museum, it is the perfect place to keep your kids busy for hours and make them discover and learn about various interesting stuff. With its three-floor exhibits created to encourage hands-on play, kids will not love this visit.
5. The Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum
Here, you will experience one of the most important events that led to the American Revolution. You will participate in a live theatrical performance through a personalized colonial character in the "Destruction of the Tea"

At the Frog Pond, you and your whole family may experience four seasons of fun: the summer spray pool, the Frog Pond carousel, the winter outdoor skating rink, the Downtown Movie Nights, and so much more. At the Emerald Necklace, within the city itself, you can escape to Nature. Isn't that amazing? From Back Bay to Brookline, you will explore a vast 1,100-acre nature park ideal for hiking and biking.
10. Whale Watching
You should take advantage of this opportunity if you love sea adventures and whale watching. With the Boston Harbour City Cruises, you will start your trip from Long Wharf, close to the New England Aquarium.

If you and your family love Mother Nature, then I do not doubt you will love the Adirondacks Region! Situated just four hours away from New York City or Boston, Adirondacks is a four-season destination. Yes, you can visit the Adirondacks anytime during the year. From stunning views to breathtaking thrills, you and all your family and friends will have lots of fun.

If you are planning an East Coast vacation for families and you are looking for some ideas to make your stay mesmerizing and memorable, here are the top things that you should do in the Adirondacks:
1. The Mirror Lake in the region of Lake Placid
Lake Placid is a popular tourist destination known for its scenic beauty, outdoor activities, and historical significance. The Mirror Lake, located in the village of Lake Placid, is a spot to take advantage of. It is calm and has a mesmerizing view. You can also do many outdoor activities in summer and Winter. Activities such as Kayaking and paddleboarding or ice-skating on the frozen Lake at the Olympic-Ski Jump Complex in Winter will keep you and your family busy while having lots of fun.
2. The Blue Mountain-Lake Museum
If you want to know more about the Adirondacks and its History, visit the Blue Mountain-Lake Museum. It is an Adirondacks experience, and you can't miss that! You will discover many exhibits dedicated to the Adirondacks' Nature and culture there. Moreover, if you want to keep the kids busy while having fun, there are also a lot of hands-on areas for them.
3. The Bald Mountain
If you and your family love hiking, then Bald Mountain is the place to go. It is short but also a rewarding trail destination in the Adirondacks. The view of the Fulton Chain of Lakes and the surrounding mountains you will discover will leave you breathless.
4. The Moose River Farm
The Moose River Farm is a Spot for Animal Lovers. The Limas and Donkeys were my favorite. It is a peaceful place, surrounded by Nature with some fun trails. You will no doubt have such a lovely time there.
5. The Enchanted Forest Water Safari
The Enchanted Forest Water Safari is a place to take advantage of during your east coast vacation at Adirondacks. It is one of the biggest water theme parks in New York. It is the go-to place in the summer, and I do not doubt that you and all your families will love this spot.
6. The Oak Mountain Ski Center
If you love winter sports, you should visit the Oak Mountain Ski Center. It is an excellent place for families and beginners who want to learn skiing, snowboarding, or tubing.
7. The Gore Mountain
Like the Oak Mountain Ski Center, Gore Mountain is also a fun and fantastic place for skiing and snowboarding. Its slopes are for all sky levels. At Gore Mountain, you will get a fantastic view of all the surrounding Mountains while having a grilling time on snow.
The Washington DC
If you are on a budget and looking for a place to go on the East Coast with the Kids, consider Washington DC and plan a visit to the Nation's Capital. There are so many activities in Washington, DC, that will keep the whole family and kids busy while having lots of fun. Most attractions are affordable, and some of the museum's access is free! Below are a few top things to do in Washington, DC, that I undergo personally.

1. The Lincoln Memorial
On my trip to Washington, DC, my first stop was the Lincoln Memorial. When I was standing there and looking at the Iconic Abraham Lincoln Statue, I felt a sense of History and aspiration. The view of the pool reflecting the Washington Monument was just picture-perfect. If you plan an East Coast vacation with your families, you should take your kids there and tell them about our History.
2. The Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History
My next visit was to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. I was taken back in time with many fascinating exhibits, Dinosaurs, and the must-see Hope Diamond. If you love History, you will love the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.
3. The National Air Space Museum
The National Air Space Museum holds a captivating blend of History and science. Since I have always been fascinated with aviation, visiting the National Air Space Museum has been like a dream. You better take the kids there if you plan an East Coast vacation to Washington, DC, with your families.
4. The National Art Gallery
While visiting the National Art Gallery, I felt spanned by the diverse collection of centuries and cultures featuring many renowned artists. After this visit, my journey was enriched by the History of human creativity. If you are an Art Lover, you will rejoice after visiting the National Art Gallery.
5. Library of Congress
I could not miss the Library of Congress, and you should not, too! For me, it is a true temple of knowledge. The Library of Congress is the home of many rare and unique items, such as The Gutenberg Bible. It is a must-see place to go with the whole family.
6. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial left me emotional. Its solemn atmosphere invites reflections and gratitude. One of the main features of this memorial is "The Wall." Also known as "The Wall That Heals," it is a place of healing and reconciliation, bringing veterans, families, and friends together to honor and remember the sacrifices made during the War of Vietnam. You cannot miss such a place!
7. The Washington Monument
My visit to the Washington Monument was just breathtaking. The Washington Monument is one of the most iconic landmarks in the United States and a prominent symbol of the Nation's Capital. This monument serves as a tribute to George Washington's leadership and the ideals of the Nation's Founders.
8. The United States Botanic Garden
My Visit to the United States Botanic Garden was simply stunning. It is a hidden oasis in the heart of Washington DC. With its diverse collections of living plants, the United States Botanic Garden is one of the oldest botanic gardens in North America. The Gardens offers a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages. This place was like a peaceful escape from the bustling city.
8. The White House
My Visit to Washington DC would have been incomplete without seeing the White House. This iconic residence emanates power and History. While I could not go inside, being at the gates made me feel like "a brush with the nation's leadership." You cannot miss the White House if you plan an East Coast Vacation with your family.
